How to make a Cat Bed with old Pillows and Curtains

If you are replacing Pillows don't throw them away.
Wash them at 60 degrees to kill any Dust Mites
PILLOW ONE
 Remove Pillow Covering
Cut in half down the middle lengthways
Using a Long Needle and Strong Thread oversew the edges. This will secure the layers if you ever want to wash your Cat Bed
Also sew very loosely down the middle ( Loosely to allow for stretching Pillow to fit later )
PILLOW TWO
Remove Pillow Covering
Round off the corners using a plate as a guide and cut off corners
Oversew the edges as Pillow One

TEST SHAPE
Put Long Pillows in position around big cushion to test shape
If the Long Pillows are not long enough stretch them by pulling at each end until the ends meet

COVER PILLOWS
I used old Curtains to make my Cat Bed
Lay Long Pillows along sides of Fabric
Fold edges over Pillows and mark positions before sewing
Sew one side seam
Put in long Pillows then sew open end of other side seam
 Cushion in position
Now cover the removable Cushion or put a Cat Fleece over it
Cushion is kept in place by the fabric bottom of the Bed

TESTING WITH CATS
Izzy tried it but.....

Pillo liked it a lot more !
Project complete and tried and tested by 2 of our 4 cats
