A few photos of our short break in Bournemouth

Memorial flowers for JON EGGING in Bournemouth yesterday.  We arrived  on the last day of The Bournemouth Air Show the day after his tragic death flying with the RED ARROWS.  I felt very tearful reading the kind messages left for him and seeing all of the flowers

Union Jack flag in the park in Bournemouth. These are all candles in coloured jars which are lit in the evening

This fantastic sandcastle was being guarded by a Security Guard in the evening. It was sadly demolished the next day

PRIDE OF 50 LIONS IN BOURNEMOUTH. This was my favourite lion called DANDYLION.  There are 50 different ones to be seen around Bournemouth until 3rd September 2011. For details of the Lion Trail go to www.prideinbournemouth.com

We haven't been brave enough to go up in the air balloon in the park in Bournemouth. If you want to it costs £12.50 for 12 to 15 minutes in the air

  1. Love Bournemouth - the nice park, lovely beaches and just a very nice seaside destination. Done the hot air balloon as well - good views over the bay and pier.

  2. This brought back memories of our holiday in Bournemouth. The candles in the park are very effective. We didn't do the hot air balloon either - Hubby has no head for heights.
