A few new projects this year

I have also learned the best way to applique thanks to Wendi Gratz on her Shiny Happy World website

An experiment that didn't work !  I tried bleaching denim but it wasn't successful. I sprayed the bleach on. It was patchy and uneven so my butterfly went in the bin

I crocheted an owl brooch ....

How I made my cat a jumper bed Tutorial

Old wooly jumper

  Turn inside out and sew up neck opening

 Turn to right side.  Pin then sew across below arms 

  Stuff tube formed by arms and jumper top

I washed an old pillow at 60 degrees to clean it

 I cut it open and used the Stuffing for my Cat Bed 

  Folding back the arms makes this job easier to do

  Outer ring of bed now stuffed

Put one cuff inside the other to join circle

Pin, tack then oversew edge. Remove tacking stitches

 Put a small pillow or stuffing inside the jumper to make a base

Close hem and pull up thread to gather a little to round off

Turn over and pin base around edge

Oversew base to outer ring 

Complete.  Now I must find one of our four cats to test it !

This lucky Black Cat Keyring was quick and easy to make

Cats and kittens will sleep anywhere !

  Our Cats and Kittens will sleep anywhere and love being up high.  This bag is hanging on the back of a door !  No wonder I couldn't find them

It has been very difficult parting with Tabby's second litter of  kittens.  The last two will go to their new homes in the next few days.  I feel happy that they are going to live with lovely families who I know will love them as much as we do. When they have all been collected we will still have Tabby (Mother cat) plus Pillo, Wally and Izzy ( 3 of Tabby's first litter we are keeping )

Our seven tabby kittens are now 6 weeks old

Our kittens are a lot of fun now they are 6 weeks old.  We will miss them when they go to their new homes soon

Douglas our fourth male kitten now has a home with Jacky

Our fourth male kitten has been named Douglas by his new owner.  I am going to really miss him running up my leg to sit on my shoulders bless him

Kitty boy 3 Now reserved for Amy and family

Boy white socks dark markings out of box.  Now reserved for Amy and her family who came to see him today and named him Looeegee 

Kitty 2 female now has a home with Claire

Female white long socks dark markings.  Sorry the flash makes her eyes look funny.  I am so pleased that she now has a new home for Christmas  : )

Kitty number 1 now reserved for Lesley F

Kitty number 1 female white shoes and white tip on tail. This little kitten clearly loved her new 'Mum' and would have happily gone home with Lesley today

Kittens are toddling around already 3 weeks old

7 kittens 4 boys top row and 3 girls bottom row 

Seven kittens are now 16 days old

Born 29th October.  They all need homes in a months time.

We visited Chambercombe Manor which is haunted.  I took this photo in the kitchen.  Can you see a ghostly man in the right hand corner of the fireplace ?  Spooky..... You can click on the photo to enlarge it.

Oh dear ! We now have eleven cats !

Our dear Tabby has had seven more kittens this evening !  That means we now have eleven cats ! If the are all like Pillo (photo above ) how will we be able to part with them ?

My cat's favourite toys are screwed up paper balls, pipecleaners, cotton buds and anything small and furry. We have wasted quite a lot of money buying cat toys for them !

My Cats didn't want me to go to work

I walk to work and take this rucksack with me.  I think the kittens were saying  " Please don't go to work and stay at home and play with us"   It was hard to leave them especially as one of them went to his new home while I was at work.

Where will they sleep tonight I wonder ?

I wonder if my daughter still thinks it is a good idea to sleep with 6 cats in her bedroom ?  Tabby woke me up at 5am and would not let me go back to sleep.  I sensed something was wrong and found my daughter’s bedroom door was shut.  I let Tabby in to be with her kittens.  Two minutes later she was back on my bed and she had been shut out again !   I let her in again to find my daughter was very stressed.  Now I had two stroppy females to calm down.  My daughter needed her sleep and Tabby wanted her kittens !  My daughter put the playful kittens in a box and I took all 6 cats downstairs.  Where will they sleep tonight ?
