In the UK it is our Queen's Diamond Jubilee in June this year. The whole country will be celebrating as the day has been made a Bank holiday. Our country's Union Jack flag is red, white and blue so I have knitted this to wear on the day. Further details about this big event can be found here
I attempted to knit a mouse while we were staying at Woodspring Priory. She is called......Woodspring ! The pattern was a bit too complicated for me. I couldn't work out how to knit her in the round. I plaited her legs and arms instead of knitting them. I have to hide her from our four cats !
I love these cute mice so much they are now on my computer background. They make me smile every time I turn my computer on. Busyknitting is on http://busymitts.com/people/Buzyknitting What do you have as a background picture on your computer ?
I think I may have some baby turtles soon ! Terry has met Sparke today and it was love at first sight. My friend Elaine gave me the sparkly wool. Now I wonder what colour the little ones will be ? The very talented Jellybum designed them. Her pattern is available on her blog http://www.knittedtoybox.blogspot.com/
I have just found my photos of PC Phew. I named him this as it was what I said when I finally finished making him. The pattern is in a book called 20 to make knitted bears by Val Pierce.
I have so many unfinished knitting projects....teddies, flowers, animals etc. This tea cosy was so quick to knit I actually managed to finish it. It is very plain but now I know the size is ok I can play with the design
I have knitted lots of egg cosies in different colours and patterns. I only know one person who eats boiled eggs....do you eat them ? I am giving this one to an 82 year old gentleman. He loves gardening so I think he will appreciate the flower on top
